Liberty Baptist Church (1926), Elizabeth, NJ

Liberty Baptist Church, located at 256 2nd Street in Elizabeth, was established in October 1926 by Reverend Alex Reynolds.  When by 1957, the church had grown and was in need of a new home, it moved to 515-17 Court Street under the leadership of Reverend Tyler T. Thomas.  With the passing of Reverend Thomas, the church was led by Reverend Kenneth E. Grayson, who helped turn the church into a thriving force in the city of Elizabeth.
