Reverend Nicholas Genevieve-Tweed, a researcher in the field of African-American studies and a vocal and viable force in the community, is pastor of the historic Macedonia African Methodist Episcopal Church in Flushing, Queens, New York. Born in London, England, Reverend Genevieve-Tweed came to the United States to attend seminary after graduating with honors in philosophy and social theory from Middlesex University in London. He attended the Turner Theological Institute at the International Theological College in Atlanta, then went on to pursue his doctorate in systematic theology at Boston University. He has pastored at several historic churches, including Bethel A.M.E. in Atlanta and Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in Hartford, Connecticut.
