Biden points to ‘precedent-busting appointments’ as he rolls out Buttigieg pick by Nick Niedzwwiadek

President-elect Joe Biden formally rolled out Pete Buttigieg as his pick to lead the Department of Transportation on Wednesday with an emphasis on the former South Bend, Ind., mayor’s relative youth and potential to become an openly gay Cabinet member. 

Biden praised Buttigieg, who emerged as a rising star from the crowded field of Democratic presidential candidates despite his relative obscurity heading into the race, as someone who has the “vision of a next generation leader, with the experience and the temperament to lead change today.” To read more go to the link below:
