Sweet Georgia Brown: Impact, Courage, Sacrifice and Will
My latest film & book titled Sweet Georgia Brown: Impact, Courage, Sacrifice and Will, about African American Women during World War II. Major Charity Adams Earley, Commander of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion in World War II, summarized her life and history of women in the military when she wrote in 1989. African American women enlisting in the WAAC (Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps) which soon converted to the WAC (Women’s Army Corps), the Navy WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service), and the Coast Guard SPARS was a lost history.
