The Sayreville Oral History Project: Harold Boehm

Former mayor and councilman Harold Boehm begins by explaining the physical landscape of the area around his home as it looked during the 1920’s and 30’s. Washington Road was sand, with trolley tracks running down the middle of the road, linking Miller’s corner to Lower Sayreville on one end, and New Brunswick on the other.  Funding in part has been provided by the Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission, Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and the New Jersey Historical Commission/Department of State.

Narrator: Harold Boehm, Interviewers: Jason J. Slesinski and Carol Kadi
