Charles Kim, a historian of twentieth-century Korean culture, society, and ideas with a specific focus on the post-1945 era. His research and teaching interests include narratives, nationalism, cultural practices, historical memory, and historical methodology. I'm currently at work on a study that explores the consolidation of South Korea’s “Miracle on the Han” narrative in the late 1950s and early 1960's.
