Dr. Alan Hogate Cooper teaches Latin, anthropology, psychology and 20th century history at the Morristown-Beard School, Morristown, New Jersey. An archaeologist, Dr. Cooper has excavated in Greece, Italy (Cosa), and Cyprus (Salamis). In the United States, he has participated in and directed excavations in West Virginia, Connecticut and New Jersey. Working with the Somerset County Park Commission, he has led public archaeology programs at the Lord Sterling Manor site and the Lenape Meadow in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
