• Attorney General Pam Bondi is appearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee this morning.

• Bondi has deflected questions from Democrats on a variety of issues. “Senator, I am not going to discuss that with you,” she said to a question about internal DOJ discussions on prosecuting a Trump political opponent. She has also stonewalled Democrats about her handling of the Epstein files and existence of a so-called “client list.”

• The hearing comes after the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey by a federal grand jury, an extraordinary escalation in President Donald Trump’s effort to prosecute his political enemies.
